ANCIENT OSTIA

Let yourself be accompanied to the ruins of the old Roman seaside city, visiting the Republican Warehouses, the Baths of Neptune, and the Capitolium. Then, if you wish, continue towards modern Ostia where you can have lunch or dinner in a typical restaurant with a fish-based menu.

Castel Gandolfo, the Pope’s summer residence, Albano, which happily dominates its lake, Genzano which pays homage to Corpus Domini with its magnificent flower festival, Ariccia with its highest bridge at 80 meters, Nemi which enchants with its lake and wild strawberries, Rocca di Papa which stands at 750 meters above sea level and dominates the entire valley of Rome, Grottaferrata famous for its mystical Abbey, and finally Frascati, the largest of all where we will stop to stroll through its alleys tasting the dry white wine that has made it so famous in Europe and around the world.

SIENA, SAN GIMIGNANO AND CHIANTI REGION

A beautiful excursion through the Chianti countryside, among pleasant hills, with ever-changing scenery of vineyards and olive groves. In Siena, we visit the Cathedral, including its interiors with the Piccolomini Library and the adjacent Museum of the Opera Metropolitana, up to Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful squares in the world, where the Town Hall (exterior) is located. Then we depart for San Gimignano, a small town that has remained intact through the centuries, atop a hill, famous for its numerous towers, frescoes, and other art treasures; free time available to discover all its charm.

ORVIETO, SPOLETO AND ASSISI

Departing for the charming Umbria, our first stop will be Orvieto, a splendid medieval town famous for its Cathedral. We then pass through Spoleto, renowned for the Festival of Two Worlds, to reach Assisi, the mystical city of St. Francis, still enclosed by ancient walls, nestled on the green slopes of Mount Subasio. We will visit the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli and the Basilica of St. Francis with masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue.

NAPLES AND CAPRI

SORRENTO AND AMALFI

We depart for Sorrento, in whose sea, according to legends, lived the mythical Sirens who tempted Ulysses with a melodious song. But perhaps Sorrento itself is a Siren that captivates and enchants with the scents of lemon and orange trees. We then arrive in Amalfi, built by Hercules and as beautiful as the nymph he loved and buried there, whose name it bears.
